Sightseeing in Belfast
High-heels in Belfast are a serious crime as there are so many things to be explored on foot. Walk around the Cathedral quarter on lovely, cobbled streets and visit Donegall square, a famous pedestrainised central district where you can soak in Belfast’s historic atmosphere in between coffees at any of the hip bars and cafés that dot the area. Queen’s University is not to be missed, set in an area that is packed with spectacular old buildings and lovely gardens.

Fun by night – eating, drinking and partying
Northern Ireland is famous for potatoes so you might like to try an Irish dish that comes with these healthy spuds, like colcannon (potatoes and cabbages mixed together). Another popular dish is Irish stew with mutton, lamb or juicy beef. Otherwise, you can always visit one of many international restaurants around town.

Calling all party-animals, Belfast is the place to be when it comes to ultimate nightlife. The capital of Northern Ireland and a hub of steaming parties, Belfast has a variety of nightlife venues, especially around the renowned Cathedral quarter and along the Golden Mile. The 17th century White’s Tavern is an old favourite among locals, serving an array of local beers. Pint of Guinness anyone?

Fun by day - shopping and activities
If you are a shopping disciple, hold on to your wallet. Belfast features enough malls and boutiques to excite your credit card. Do not let your wife near the gigantic Castlecourt Shopping Centre if you expect to see her again the same day. Royal avenue is probably every lady’s most loved street, oozing countless brand-name shops. Local crafts can be found at the famous Craftworks Gallery on Bedford street.

While the ladies hit the shops, the boys can also have some fun. Belfast has beautiful countryside which is ideal for outdoor pursuits. Those into hiking can find several challenging routes, while there are also many good spots to cast a lines to get some fish for dinner.
